He noted that in the year 2005, despite the internal instability of the power and the crisis of relations with Russia, the system worked stably. By assessments of the Center experts, the share of “Ukrspetsexport” state-owned company in the trade in arms increases 80% of all the Ukrainian supplies, even despite the fact that there is nearly a dozen of another special exporters.

V.Badrak noted that the calculation of the total results of the year 2005 indicate that the volumes in the financial dimension exceeded the rate of the previous year 2004 (nearly 650 million dollars). “By opinion of the Center experts, basing on open sources, the volumes of trade in 2005 may be assessed within 650-680 million dollars”, V.Badrak said.

According to him, the biggest demand in 2005 was for aircraft and armored machinery, their spare parts, anti-aircraft defense systems, and radio-location means. Not less than 20% of the total export volumes fell on repairs and upgrading services.
