The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine appointed Volodymyr Radchenko as the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine.

      According to an UNIAN correspondent, 251 lawmaker out of 441 registered in the chamber voted for this.

      Speaking in the parliament, V.Radchenko noted that in his work he will observe the laws and the Constitution of Ukraine. Answering questions of lawmakers, he noted that he is not a member of any party.

      V.Radchenko added that on the post of the Deputy Prime Minister he will coordinate the work of force structures. According to his words, the main task at the first stage of his activities will be to stop the “turmoil that is taking place in appointments” in the force structures.

      V.Radchenko is an army general of Ukraine, during 1994-1995 he occupied the post of the Interior Minister.
