Economics Ministry forecasts inflation in January at 1.2-1.5%

The Economics Ministry of Ukraine forecasts that the inflation in January 2007 will be not lower than in January of the last year – at 1.2-1.5% (in January of 2006 it was 1.2% - UNIAN).

According to the Ministry’s press-service, the main inflation-forming factors in January will the following: the growth of housing and utility tariffs, the reduction of means at government’s accounts late in 2006 due to seasonal spendings of the government during the holidays.

As UNIAN reported earlier, the inflation on the results of 2006 made up 11.6%.
