In addition to Our Ukraine lawmaker Petro Poroshenko, Russia may ban entry to Ukraine’s ex-Foreign Minister Borys Tarasyuk and acting Foreign Minister Volodymyr Ohryzko.

“Ekonomicheskiye Izvestiya” weekly reports this, referring to its sources, close to the Russian Foreign Ministry.

According to the information of the sources, the list of non-grata persons from Ukraine was transferred to the Russian Foreign Ministry by the CIS Countries Institute, headed by Russian lawmaker Konstantin Zatulin.

As UNIAN reported, Petro Poroshenko in an interview with ICTV Channel said the Russian Federation used a no entry permit to pressure Ukraine, according to Ukrayinska Pravda.

Mr. Poroshenko arrived to Russia by charter airplane as a participant of the meeting of managers of banking institutions.

When he was kept at the airport for 10-20 minutes, he gave the embassy a call asking a consul to come. But the latter was disallowed to enter into the customs area of the Russian Federation referring to the Vienna Convention.

Right after that Mr. Poroshenko asked the pilots to come back to Ukraine.

He emphasized the explanations the Russian Foreign Ministry provided on Friday were quite clear.

Mr. Poroshenko claims he does not accept such explanations and such methods as a citizen and as a politician. He is certain the incident was politically motivated.
