Victor Yushchenko has met with Stephen Jennings, Chief Executive Officer of Renaissance Capital, to speak about how to improve the investment climate in Ukraine, according to the President`s press-office.
The President said our country’s economic and political achievements had prompted the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) to reconsider its rating.
He promised to continue reforms and said his priorities included passing effective laws to regulate investment activity, supporting companies investing in science, cutting taxes and introducing other policies encouraging investment.
Mr. Yushchenko expressed hopes the Third International Investment Conference, which had opened recently, would help the government and investors exchange views and develop cooperation.
